The IR-PU power supplies are designed to power the Irinos SC system. Guidance on estimating power consumption can be found in the application notes.
[For historical reasons, the power supply designations begin with ‘IR-’, as they are also suitable for the Irinos IR system. All IR-PU power supplies can be used for both the Irinos SC system and the Irinos IR system.]
There are two power supply series:
oIR-PU-xx-CUS-x is the current series and is recommended for new applications.
oIR-PU-xx-HWS-x can also be used with the Irinos SC system, but is not recommended for new applications.
The Irinos Box IR-PU-xx-CUS-x is a 24V power supply with a rated output of 30 or 80 watts for powering the Irinos system. It is designed for harsh industrial environments and has a long service life.
The mains connection cable includes the protective earth (PE). Therefore, no separate protective earth connection is required. However, the protective earth of the mains connection cable must be connected.
The output is via an M12 L-coded connector, which forms the matching counterpart to the connector on the Master Box.
LED
The power supply unit has a green power LED. It indicates the status of the 24V output voltage. It remains lit continuously when the unit is operating correctly.
Note regarding the M12 L-coded connector:
Departing from to the industry standard, the voltage output (Ua) is not assigned, as it is not required by the Irinos system. Please also refer to the pin assignment in the general product description.
