The Irinos SC-TEMP box is suitable for connecting two thermocouples. Both thermocouple inputs are isolated from each other and from the power supply.

Measurement
All measurement inputs are sampled independently of one another (no multiplexing). Sampling takes place at a rate of approx. 4 Hz, as specified in the data sheet. Nevertheless, it is possible to include the temperature measurement channels in a fast dynamic measurement. Consequently, the same measurement value appears multiple times in the dynamic measurement results. For example, in a dynamic measurement with a sampling rate of 1000 measurements per second, each temperature value occurs approx. 1000 / 4 = 250 times.
For technical reasons, different input channels never produce exactly the same measured value for an identical input signal. To enable a smooth change of input channel or replacement of the Irinos box, the measurement inputs are therefore digitally pre-calibrated at the factory. The temperature value has a resolution of 0.01°C; this means, for example, that the following conversion applies:
