The Irinos system’s master box has a built-in DHCP server. This is enabled by default. The IP address of the Irinos system is 192.168.3.99, and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. Provided the PC’s Ethernet interface is configured as a ‘DHCP client’, it will automatically be assigned an IP address from the range 192.168.3.100 to 192.168.3.254 when a connection is established. No further network configuration is then required.

The Irinos system’s DHCP server is enabled by default. This is the ideal setting for a direct connection to a PC. Before the Irinos box is used within an IT network, the DHCP server must be disabled via a direct connection. This is done using the Irinos tool. It is recommended that you use the DHCP function only during initial set-up and then, at least on the PC side, operate it using a static address only. There are two ways to do this:
a)The DHCP server on the master box remains enabled. However, the PC is assigned a fixed IP configuration. To do this, use the following network settings on the PC, for example:
IP address: 192.168.3.98
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
b)The DHCP server on the Master Box is deactivated via the Irinos tool. The IP address of the Irinos Box can be set freely. The PC is assigned a static IP configuration.

The easiest way to check whether the network connection is working is via the Irinos system’s web server. To do this, open a web browser and enter the IP address of the Irinos system into the address bar. If the network connection is working, the web page displaying the measurement values will now appear.
