Modularity / SC-Link Bus

The Irinos system can be used flexibly for a variety of measurement tasks.

An Irinos system consists of a minimum of one and a maximum of 12 Irinos boxes (i.e. up to 96 measurement channels). Each Irinos box has a fixed number of measurement inputs (e.g. 2, 4 or 8). The Irinos boxes are connected to one another in a daisy-chain topology via the SC-Link interface. To this end, there is always an ILink cable between two Irinos boxes.

ILink cables are available in various lengths. The maximum permissible bus length from the first to the last Irinos box is 20 metres.

The SC-Link interface combines three functions in one:

1.Data exchange between the Irinos boxes.

2.Time synchronisation of all measurement channels.

3.Power supply to the Irinos boxes.

A push-button or foot-switch can also be connected to the SC-Link interface on the Master Box (SC-TFV firmware ≥ V2.4.0.13 or SC-INC firmware ≥ V2.3.0.10).

Please note: The ILink cables are identical to those used in the sister system, Irinos IR. However, due to a difference in data transmission standards, it is not possible to mix boxes from the two systems.
